Remiss in Reminding

I hoped to write a post here yesterday with the Love Thursday link, but I went to Grandma's instead which suited me just fine. So here's the missing link to yesterday's Love Thursday #7: Grandma and Grandpa's Farm posted over at LoLaSuzanne.

Yesterday's visit to Grandma's also figured in my Grace in Small Things Post:

Grace in Small Things #148 of 365

1. I and my crutches riding with Daddy and Brenda up to see Grandma today. (Grandma's farm pics here.)

2. 98 year-old Grandma still keeping tabs on the preacher and the rest home director and the Sunday School Teacher's daughter ("She's living with a man and got two kids but neither one of em's his and they're not to be married...")

3. Grandma still keeping time "well, it's five minutes after three...well it's 25 minutes after three...well it's ten minutes after four...".

4. Grandma still telling me what to do "Lar, I think it's time for you to get that hair cut."

5. Stopping at the barbecue house on the way back, talking about old times, Granddaddy and old Wayne and Uncle Walter. And the time 14 of Grandpa's cows were struck by lightning when they were all sleeping under the same tree during a storm, and about hiding in the smokehouse and on like that all the way back down the highway until they dropped me off at my little house.
